Txomin Peillen Pariseko Montmartre auzo bohemioan jaio zen 1932an. Guraso zuberotarrak zituen eta gazterik hasi zen euskal literaturaz arduratzen, batez ere Parisen erbesteraturiko euskaldun abertzaleen ezagutzaren ondorioz. Horien artean Andima Ibinagabeitia elantxobetarra aipatu behar. Berantago, Andimak Hegoamerikara alde egin eta bertan euskal testuak argitaratzeari ekingo dio, Hego Euskal Herrian ez baitago horretarako aukerarik. Garai hartan euskal letra modernoen aitzindariak ezagutuko ditu Peillenek: Jon Mirande, Gabriel Aresti eta Txillardegi. Espainiar literaturarekiko ezagutza ere Parisen izan zuen Txominek. Kasu honetan, Odéon auzoan, espainiar errefuxiatu anarkistak La Española liburu-dendan antolatzen zituzten hitzaldi eta eztabaiden ingurumarian. Hiru dira beraz Txomin Peillenen hurbileko kultura eta mintzairak: euskara, frantsesa eta gaztelania. Hiru hizkuntza horietan idatzi ditu bere olerkiak, liburu honetan aurkezten dizkigunak, denak hiru hizkuntzetan eta horretarako, jakina, itzulpenak egin behar izan ditu. |
